Timeline

Work, education and the projects that came out of them, from art school and tangible games through interaction design and research to the integration platforms behind retail, insurance and public-sector systems. Each project also has its own page.

  1. 2026-now

    Work

    Integration & LLM Engineer

    SPECTR B.V. · Employed since May 2026

  2. 2026-now

    Personal project

    Home Energy Orchestration System

    Ongoing

A household energy system rather than a gadget pile: Proxmox and Home Assistant running domain-based stacks for automation, monitoring, EV charging and surveillance, fed by a P1/DSMR smart meter, Zigbee devices, OpenTherm heating and a Modbus EV charger. Dynamic tariffs are first-class: any flow that touches a load knows the current price. Built to the same rules as production systems: everything in Git with architecture decision records, observability from day one, local-first so the house still works when the connection does not, and boring technology on anything that heats or charges.

  3. 2026

    Personal project

    Personal automation on Windmill

    No longer running

A self-hosted automation system on Windmill (Docker/WSL2, PostgreSQL), with scripts, flows and shared libraries kept in version control and synced to the workspace. It gathered and processed personal data, including Strava, Jefit and Garmin health records.

  4. 2026

    Personal project

    dvdm-i.nl rebuilt and relaunched

    Back online, September 2026

The site you are reading, put back up after some years offline. A static Astro build on Cloudflare, with the chronology as its spine: every project takes its date from the timeline entry that references it, so a year is stated in exactly one place. The portfolio itself had to be recovered, page by page, from PDF exports of the old site.
